Where to start if you're new to Wuthering Waves
If you're under Union Level 30, read these in order: Beginner's Guide: First 30 Days first to understand the daily flow and what to prioritize. Then Pull Strategy 2026 to set up your Astrite budget before the next banner. Finally Character Tier List 2026 to know which characters are worth pulling. This three-article sequence covers about 95% of the decisions a new account needs to make in the first month, and skipping any one of them is the most common reason F2P accounts feel weak after 6 weeks.
If you're past Union Level 40 and have a main DPS picked, switch to build-guide mode. Denia, Changli, and Jinhsi guides each cover weapons, echo sets, rotation, and team composition for that specific character. Echo Main Stats Guide + Energy Regen Breakpoints are the two mechanics guides that every build-stage player should bookmark.
How to combine these guides with the tools
The articles tell you what to do; the tools calculate how much. After reading the Pull Strategy 2026 article, plug your Astrite count into the Pull Calculator to confirm the math. After a build guide tells you a Resonator needs a specific weapon, open the Weapon Compare tool to verify the signature upgrade is worth the 80 pulls. After the Echo Main Stats Guide recommends which main stats to chase, use the Echo Scorer on every drop. The articles set strategy; the tools execute it.
Frequently asked questions
How often are these guides updated?
Tier lists are reviewed at the start of each 6-week patch cycle and updated when meta shifts (typically every 2-3 patches). Character build guides are updated when the character receives a balance change or when meta teams shift around them. Beginner guides and pull strategy articles are reviewed monthly. Each article shows its last-updated date in the header. If a guide looks stale by more than 8 weeks, drop us a note via Contact.
Do you cover characters before they release?
We publish character build guides within 48 hours of the banner going live, after testing the kit in-game. Pre-release "leak guides" tend to age badly because skill values often change between beta and release. The trade-off is that we're slightly slower than YouTube creators, but our guides reflect what the character actually does, not what early kits looked like.
Which guide is best for endgame Tower of Adversity teams?
Start with the individual build guides for your main DPS, then the Sonata Set Tier List to pick the right 5-piece set for each character. The Character Tier List includes a "Tower team comp" section at the end with two or three reliable lineups per floor. Specific Tower-of-Adversity guides per patch will be added as a separate article category once enough patches accumulate.
Can I trust the tier list rankings?
Our rankings combine three inputs: simulated DPS per second from public damage calculators, win-rate data from competitive Tower clears, and qualitative ease-of-play ratings. We document the methodology and inputs at the top of each tier list article. Rankings are opinions backed by numbers — players who disagree usually have valid reasons that come from a different team composition or playstyle. Cross-check our picks against your specific account before pulling.
