Lucilla Build Guide 2026: Best Weapons, Echoes & Teams

This is the launch-week Lucilla build guide for Wuthering Waves 3.4. Lucilla — known as President Lucilla of Startorch Academy in story material — is a 5★ Glacio Rectifier debuting in the Phase 2 banner. Despite arriving in the Cyberpunk collab patch, she does not share Lucy and Rebecca's Hack-Shifting mechanic. Her kit is built around Glacio Chafe (her own status effect), a Focus Ring precision-aiming system, and a unique Reminiscence Liberation that replaces her entire moveset with an empowered version.

Lucilla is a Glacio Sub-DPS and team buffer, not a standalone carry. She applies Glacio Chafe to enemies and — through her signature weapon — hands the whole team a sizeable ATK buff, making her the dedicated support for Glacio main DPS like Hiyuki and Carlotta. The Focus Ring mechanic rewards precise timing on her Basic Attack stage 3, but her value comes from enabling her carry rather than topping the damage chart herself. Her story is featured in the 3.4 quest "We Choose the Sky".

Kit overview

Core mechanic — Focus Ring + Glacio Chafe + Reminiscence

Lucilla's Forte stacks three interlocking systems. Focus Ring is a precision-aim mechanic that triggers when she holds Normal Attack during Basic Attack stage 3 — if the cursor stays inside Perfect Focus, she gets a damage bonus and recovers extra Traces (her Forte resource); if outside, she casts an alternate "Commendable" variant. This rewards skill expression and is the main DPS lever for players who can land Perfect Focus consistently.

Glacio Chafe is her stacking debuff applied to enemies and serves as the trigger condition for her best weapon and likely her echo set's 5-piece bonus. Her Liberation, Reminiscence, replaces her entire moveset with an empowered version and grants +30% DMG Bonus to either Basic Attack or Echo Skill depending on which Resonance Mode she's in at the time of cast.

Abilities at a glance

  • Basic Attack — 3-stage Glacio Rectifier chain. Stage 3 + hold deploys Focus Ring for the precision-aim window.
  • Basic Attack Stage 3 — Commendable — Cast automatically if your cursor falls outside Perfect Focus. Lower damage than landed Perfect Focus but still restores Traces.
  • Resonance Skill — Spotlight — Glacio damage + 20 bonus Concerto Energy + 1 extra Glacio Chafe stack (when in Resonance Mode - Glacio Chafe).
  • Resonance Liberation — Reminiscence — Replaces her moveset with an empowered version and grants +30% DMG Bonus to Basic Attack OR Echo Skill depending on her active Resonance Mode.
  • Intro Skill — Glacio damage on swap-in, fitting her quick in-and-out Sub-DPS rotation.
  • Outro Skill — passes a buff to the incoming Resonator, reinforcing her support role.

Echo build

Echo set — Wishes of Quiet Snowfall (5-piece)

Lucilla's best-in-slot set is Wishes of Quiet Snowfall, the Glacio Sonata that lines up directly with her Glacio Chafe mechanic:

  • 2-piece — +10% Glacio DMG Bonus.
  • 5-piece — after applying Glacio Chafe, +10% additional Glacio DMG for 15s, so it stays active across her rotation.

Main (4-cost) echo: Glommoth. Because she is a Sub-DPS buffer, you do not need flawless echo rolls — a clean main-stat line matters more than chasing perfect substats.

Weapons

TierWeaponRarityNotes
SFreeze Frame5★ Signature24.3% Crit Rate sub-stat. Passive: inflicting Glacio Chafe grants Lucilla +30% Glacio DMG AND buffs the entire team's ATK by +24% for 30 seconds. The team buff makes Freeze Frame valuable even in mixed-element teams. Clearly BiS; the Crit Rate sub-stat is a natural fit because Glacio Chafe synergy compounds with Crit-focused builds.
AStringmaster5★ Limited (rerun)Yinlin's signature. Crit Rate main stat with strong ATK and crit support. Solid if you already own it.
ACosmic Ripples5★ StandardStrong standard-pool Rectifier. Best F2P-accessible 5★ if you have a standard selector.

Best team compositions

Team 1 — Hiyuki Glacio (best)

SlotCharacterRoleWhy
Main DPSHiyukiGlacio main carryLucilla is built for her — Glacio Chafe + the team ATK buff directly amplify Hiyuki's damage
Sub-DPSLucillaGlacio Chafe applier + ATK bufferApplies Chafe and buffs team ATK +24% via Freeze Frame
SupportShorekeeperHeal + ampSustains and adds Concerto / buffs

Team 2 — Carlotta Glacio

Carlotta (Main DPS) + Lucilla (Sub-DPS) + Shorekeeper. Lucilla's Glacio Chafe and the Freeze Frame team ATK buff push Carlotta's burst, and double-Glacio gives element resonance.

Team 3 — F2P Glacio

Glacio Rover (Main DPS) + Lucilla (Sub-DPS) + Baizhi (healer). A fully free-to-play Glacio core that still gets the Chafe debuff and the ATK buff from Lucilla.

Rotation guide

  1. Support opener — Shorekeeper or Verina Intro for buffs.
  2. Swap to Lucilla — apply Glacio Chafe via Resonance Skill + Basic Attack, then cast Reminiscence Liberation. This triggers Freeze Frame's +24% team ATK and her Glacio DMG buff.
  3. Outro to your Glacio main DPS — Hiyuki or Carlotta cashes in the Chafe debuff and ATK buff during their damage window.
  4. Loop — rotate back to Lucilla to refresh Chafe and the team buff each cycle.

Resonance Chain (Sequence Nodes)

Lucilla is functional at S0 — her core Glacio Chafe and team-buff kit is complete from the base node. Higher sequences add damage and quality-of-life but are not required to fill her Sub-DPS role.

Ascension & materials

Lucilla's ascension uses standard 5-star materials: a weekly-boss drop, a Glacio Tacet Core, a Somnoire region local specialty (new in 3.4), and common Whisperin / Howler drops.
